Learning to tie summer camp: Create a tied quilt & tie dye t-shirt August 9, 10, 11 9am – 3pm. Member $132, Non-Member $165, Supply fee: $30. Ages 9 to 14.
Create and tie a quilt with artist Julie Fakler. Students will learn how to make a quilt top, assemble the 3 layers, and tie the quilt. Students will be given precut squares and will learn how to sew them together on the sewing machine using a straight stich. Students will also learn about how to iron the quilt top. Students will leave class with a finished throw size quilt. Kits will be prepared and will include everything your student will need to create a throw size quilt. Instructor: Julie Fakler.
Tie Dye a cotton t-shirt with artist Judy Saye-Willis. Kids will tie dye a t-shirt three colors. You’ll need to bring rubber gloves and wear old clothes to class this August 10th. Instructor: Judy Saye-Willis.
Bring a nut free bag lunch to class each day, and something to drink. Students will be using sewing machine and iron. No rotary blades, fabric will be precut. Fabric donated by Pat Jarrett.
